A Bright
Light in
Wollaston

Welcome to Church in the Community Wollaston. We are a local church based in Meriden Avenue in the heart of the village.

Our vision is to be a loving neighbour to the people of Wollaston; to support the needs of the community; share the Good News of Jesus Christ; to make and multiply disciples.

Find out more about us here! We hope to see you soon.

Who We Are

We are a non-denominational Christian church with a strong commitment to caring for and supporting the Wollaston community. We do this through many different activities and works throughout the week.

We meet on a Sunday each week at 4pm for a time of worship, prayer, communion, teaching, and refreshments. This gathering is for people of all ages.

Meet The Team

These are the faces you will often see around Wollaston.
We work with the Elders of Church in the Community as we work to serve and love the people of Wollaston.

Jordan Armstrong
Meet Jordan! He is the church plant leader here at CitC Wollaston. He felt God call him to gather people together to worship and learn about God in the Stourbridge area 5 years ago and has been pursuing church planting ever since. Jordan has been involved with Lakeside, the church community we are launching from, as the worship leader and in many other capacities, for about 4 years. Jordan also works part-time for a mission organisation called Greater Europe Mission UK as a short-term service coordinator. In his free time, Jordan likes to watch Marvel films and play everything from board and card games to video games on the PlayStation.

Lacy Armstrong
Meet Lacy! She is originally from Florida in the USA but moved to England to serve God, serve people, and marry Jordan. She is the person behind the keyboard, doing most of the social media for the church! Lacy also works part-time for Greater Europe Mission UK, helping send new missionaries from the UK into Europe. As a daughter of missionaries, Lacy has lived in Mexico and Guatemala and loves travelling, eating food from around the world and attempting to cook new meals for her family and friends.

Kendall Morris
Meet Kendall! She is the most recent addition to our team, having moved to the UK in November 2020. Kendall is from Texas, in the USA, and has moved to our area as a missionary with Greater Europe Mission and is excited to be involved in the church plant team! Moving to a different continent in the middle of the pandemic is a daunting task, but God has made it clear this is His timing and Kendall has handled it like a pro. She is loving going for walks and drives and exploring more of England's countryside.

Paul Carpenter
Meet Paul! He is another valuable part of our church plant team here at Wollaston and the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) for CitC. Like some of the others, Paul has been involved at Lakeside for a while, helping with the youth group, tech and much more. In his "day job", Paul is a chartered accountant. When he gets a spare minute, he normally fills it with projects at the church or finding ways to bless people, but also enjoys listening to music, experimenting with software and playing the guitar. (And when we can start meeting, you'll get to hear him do so!)
